Per City of Absecon Ordinance 04-2025 anyone interested in coaching or assisting with youth programs must be fingerprinted and undergo a background check. A copy of the full ordinance can be found below.
An ID badge must be worn by approved coaches at all times while on the field of play – no exceptions.
The application below is required to be completed for ALL new applicants and for renewals. For new applicants see the steps for the background check/fingerprinting process below.
Renewals will be required every three (3) years, and are subject to an updated background check procedure completed in lieu of having finger prints repeated.
Once the application is completed please return it to Mary Fetske in Police Records at Absecon City Hall during normal business hours Monday to Friday 8:30AM – 4:30PM. You will be notified once the background check has been approved and the ID card is ready for pickup.
